Like a good lighter and wallet, having a respectable pack of playing cards will show your poker night pals you’ve got taste. Debuting at the “Play” exhibition in Wanted Design in New York City on May 17, Joe Doucet’s “Iota Playing Cards” trades excessive intricacy for bare minimalism. The Iota cards are devoid of any design, except for cues that are absolutely necessary — a clear slash marks the backside. No word on if these cards will ever be mass produced, but if they ever are, we’ll be one of the first in line to buy a pack.
