Sophie Blackall is a Brooklyn-based Australian artist who has illustrated numerous books and has been featured in magazines, books, and more. Besides illustrations, she has recently worked on mixed media sculptures, as well as collaborations with Pop Star Mika on visual pieces. Her most recognizable piece is a poster commissioned by the New York City MTA Arts for Transit program called “Missed Connections.” Her quirky and playful style should give you a few chuckles.
