Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini

It’s hard to tell from the image above, but the device isn’t Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S4, but the newly announced Galaxy S4 Mini. As its name implies, it’s a lower-spec-ed version of the GS4. Its screen is 4.3-inches Super AMOLED (qHD 960 x 540 resolution) instead of the 5-inch display (1920 x 1080 resolution) on the GS4, and its internal specs aren’t nearly as blistering fast. Inside, the GS4 Mini has a dual-core 1.7GHz processor, 1.5GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD), NFC, and Wi-Fi. On the back is an 8-megapixel camera with LED flash and on the front is a 1.9-megapixel shooter. The battery is also much smaller, 1900mAh compared to 2600mAh.

This being a Samsung Android device, all the company’s usual Smart and S features are included with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. S Translator, ChatON and S Voice, to name a few will be pre-installed.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini will be available in White Frost and Black Mist when it goes on sale at a yet-to-be-announced date, and will come in three variants; 3G, 3G HSPA+, and 4G LTE.
