Chili Dog and Beer Pairing

We’re not talented cooks, but a dapper man can feed himself. Chili may be a bit out of season, but hot dogs are right in line. We went with our homemade Chili Dog and Laguinatas Wilco Tango Foxtrot Jobless Recovery Ale.

The brown hoppy ale complements the acidic chili and salty hot dog. The cheese is optional and the entire meal  a nice finish. Here’s the ingredients you’ll need and the recipe on how to make your own:

  • Chili spice mix
  • 1 lb Hamburger
  • 1 can of whole kernel corn
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 1 yellow onion
  • Nathans Skinless Beef Frank
  • Hot dog bun
  • Pecorino Romano Cheese
  1. Fry hamburger quickly on both sides on high heat, once browned, add diced peppers and onions and cook until soft.
  2. Add in chili spice mix, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and bring to boil.
  3. Once chili is at a boil, add corn and simmer
  4. Toast hot dog bun
  5. Boil hot dog
  6. Top with grated cheese
  7. Assemble and grind!

This recipe is as easy as a TV dinner. Give it a try.
