Wikipad (7-inch) Gaming Tablet

wikipad-7-inch-1

It’s true, gaming on a tablet pales in comparison to dedicated handhelds such as a Nintendo 3DS or PS Vita. Wikipad wants to change the negative perception surrounding tablet gaming with its 7-inch Wikipad. The Wikipad consists of two halves: a 7-inch Android tablet and a controller dock that adds the benefits of dual analogs, a D-pad, triggers, and proper buttons. Underneath the 1280 x 800 IPS display, the Wikipad sports a Tegra 3 processor, 16GB of storage (expandable via microSD), 1GB of RAM, a front camera and Android 4.1. In addition to Google games available in the Google Play app store, the Wikipad also plays games from NVIDIA’s TegraZone, Big Fish Games and Sony’s PlayStation Mobile.

The Wikipad will be sold on June 11 for $249.99 at Bestbuy.com, Walmart.com and Tiger Direct.
