Brooklyn Brewery is the highest profile brewery in New York for their quality and wide distribution of beers. Their latest seasonal beer is the Brooklyn Greenmarket Wheat which features 70% New York State-grown wheat and barley. The brewery’s mission with the wheat style is to reinvigorate the state’s grain industry in an area in which brewing beer was king. The Brooklyn Wheat is made from a base of Wheat, 2-Row Malt, and Canadian 2-Row Malt with additions of Indian Coriander, Bitter Orange Peel, and Honey. This light hopped beer utilizes perle hops and is fermented with Brooklyn Brewery’s Belgian yeast strain. We were able to grab one of the 6,000 bottles and are looking forward to giving it a taste!
