Joseph Gordon-Levitt is having an outstanding run in the past few years. With The Dark Knight Rises, Inception, Lincoln, and Looper to his credit, his best film may be yet to come. His comedy film Don Jon is set to release nationwide on September 27. Levitt writes, directs, and acts in thecoming of age story about Jon, a ladies man coming to grips with growing up. He’s known by his friends as “Don Jon” because of his ability to sleep with beautiful women each week, but his seemingly perfect life hits a speed bump when he meets two women that will open his eyes to the bigger picture of life. The film tackles themes of addiction, family, and love. Levitt has been a staple on-screen, but now we’re looking for what he can do behind the camera in his promising directorial debut.
