Sony PS Vita

The struggling PS Vita is getting a new lease on life. At GamesCom in Germany, Sony announced a $50 price drop for its second-generation PlayStation handheld as well as “significant discounts” on the device’s proprietary PS Vita memory cards. At $199, the PS Vita is positioned to be more competitive with Nintendo’s 3DS XL. Although the PS Vita is almost two years old, the device is still plenty powerful. It has a five-inch OLED touschscreen display, dual analog sticks, and a responsive touchpad on the rear. A slew of new indie games that and Remote Play with the upcoming PlayStation 4 should make the PS Vita a greater value this fall.
