Raw Cold Pressed Juice

Another Liquiteria juice bar popped up in New York City in the past few weeks continuing the juicing trend. We admittedly are smitten with the idea of juicing because of our illusion that it replaces working out. After our first trip to a juice bar a few years back, we realized how expensive juicing can be. At $6-$10 a juice, one a day can run a fortune. We currently juice with the Breville Juice Fountain Plus 850-Watt Juice Extractor. Our juicing consists of local vegetables and fruits and a healthy base of greens.

Our latest juice was made with kale, cucumber, apples, lemons and slices of ginger. For $6-$10 of organic fresh produce we were able to make 48oz-60oz of juice (Saving $18-$30 by making it on our own). The cost of a Breville juicer ranges from $100 and up, and therefore after 16-20 juices we’ve made our money back.

If you don’t have time or the will to juice on your own, check out a juice bar, but when you’re looking to juice on a budget, grab a juicer and local produce.
