iPad Air

The fifth-generation iPad is so much thinner and lighter than its predecessor that Apple gave it a new name: iPad Air. With its new iPad mini-esque looks, the iPad Air is finally a comfortable 9.7-inch tablet to hold in one hand. At just 7.5mm thick, the iPad Air is as thick as the iPad mini, which was already as thin as a pencil. A new body isn’t the only thing newsworthy about the iPad Air; it also has the iPhone 5s’s lightning fast A7 processor, M7 motion coprocessor to manage all of those sensor-intensive apps, faster Wi-Fi thanks to MIMO technology and the new iOS 7. Even with its smaller design, the iPad Air maintains its impressive 10-hour battery life.

Pricing remains unchanged, too. Wi-Fi models are priced accordingly: 16GB ($499), 32GB ($599), 64GB ($699) and 128GB ($799). For 4G LTE models, prices are: 16GB ($629), 32GB ($729), 64GB ($829) and 128GB ($929). Both iPad Air models will be available in Space Grey and White/Silver on November 1.
