Boots for Business and Pleasure

Boots are a requirement for the snowy and icy winter weather, and if you happen to have warm winters, then boots work as well (When else would you break them out?). We have had our share of boots that leak upon the first drop of rain and are swimming in snow, but wanted to bring a few affordable boots that will last forever. L.L. Bean and Wolverine are among our favorites, however there are a few others worth checking out. Check out the three best business and casual boots (This week), that are well-built and under $250.

1. Dr. Martens Bentley – More casual than business. These have a Goodyear welt construction (The body is stitched into the sole rather than glued or stapled) and can handle wet conditions with the rubber sole. The wingtip design is an upgrade from the original Dr. Martens.
Price: $249.99

2. Allen Edmonds Eagle Country – This casual boot is a change from the mostly business styles from Allen Edmonds. This is built with a Goodyear welt construction that takes 212 steps to build. This shoe will last forever as the soles can be redone at any point. This shoe is not as rugged and is not meant to endure serious outdoor mother nature catastrophes, but it is built like a tank.
Price: $197 (Regularly $350)

3. Timberland Abington Classic Leather Boot- This boot is the most affordable boot on the list. This is not Goodyear welt, but it is built with a solid construction. The Abington has a strong outsole and insole construction that may be the most comfortable shoe on the list.
Price: $149 (Regularly $180)
Source: Timberland

In conclusion, winter boots must be built with first-rate quality (Goodyear welt if possible), and with quality materials. These boots are meant to stand up to cold, icy and snowy conditions and MUST last a lifetime (Check the warranties as some are guaranteed for life).
