Drake’s Denogginizer Review

Drake’s Brewing in San Leandro, CA has been crafting award-winning beers for over 10 years. Similar to many craft breweries, they are tough to find outside of their home state. On a recent trip to California we picked up a bottle Drake’s Denogginizer which is a behemoth of an Imperial IPA. The flavor profile of this beer is medium to full-bodied with citrus American hops. This beer clocks in at 90 IBU which means it has a ton of flavor and very bitter. We pair this beer with grilled meats and aged cheeses.

  • Appearance – Pours a light to medium clear amber color with a white head
  • Aroma – Ripe oranges a dash of zest, with similar IPA characteristics of earthy hops, in particular, pine
  • Taste – Medium to full body with dried hop flavor, pepper, grapefruit and pine flavors
  • Overall – 8.5/10 Not mind-blowing, but outstanding and easy drinking for an Imperial IPA. Lots of strong flavors and aromas come together very well
