The “Film Noir” era was arguably the best time the dapper man lived in. He was a cynical, ass-kicking dude that solved crimes and got the girl. In these Hollywood crime dramas, there were always the ever-present detective, reporter, gangster/killer and the seductive leading lady characters. Persol has strong roots with one of the original dapper dudes, Steve McQueen and they have come out with a “Film Noir” Edition that features four models, the Detective, Reporter, Gangster and Femme Fatale. The Detective and Gangster models feature black lenses, and the Reporter has clear lenses. The “Film Noir” Edition revives the Phoenix Arrow hinge design in place of the Supreme Arrow design.
