Now that the Galaxy S5 is officially out, Samsung’s bringing out the variants. Meet the new Galaxy K zoom, the successor the to Galaxy S4 Zoom. Is it a camera with a smartphone grafted onto it or a smartphone with a camera grafted onto it? Both.
With a rear design lifted from the Galaxy S5, the Galaxy K zoom also has some serious digital camera chops: 20.7-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor, 10x optical zoom lens, optical image stabilization, Xenon Flash. Powerful stuff.
Other specs on the Galaxy K zoom include a 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED display (1280 x 720 resolution), hexa-core processors: 1.3GHz quad-core processor + 1.7GHz dual-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD slot), and a 2,430mAh battery. And of course, the Galaxy K zoom runs the latest version of Android 4.4 Kitkat.
