OnePlus One

Hailed as this year’s “killer flagship” smartphone, the OnePlus One checks off nearly every bullet point where its competitors come up short. Led by Oppo’s ex-CEO Pete Lau, OnePlus built a smartphone with monster specs: 5.5-inch display (1920 x 1080 resolution) 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor, 3GB of RAM, 13-megapixel rear camera with 4K resolution video recording and 120fps slow-motion, dual-LED flash, 5-megapixel front camera, stereo speakers and a 3,100 mAh battery.

OnePlus One measures 152.9 x 75.9 x 8.9 mm and comes in two capacities: 16GB and 64GB. Challenging the Nexus smartphones, the OnePlus One is pretty easy on the wallet, too: $299 for the 16GB and $349 for the 64GB. It Android 4.4 KitKat skinned with CynaogenMod 11S.

Not only is the OnePlus One a powerful device, it also has a swappable rear cover. OnePlus plans to offer designs in kevlar, bamboo and denim soon.
