Trumping last year’s G2, LG’s new G3 features an even bigger, sharper 5.5-inch display with one big difference: QuadHD 2560 x 1440 resolution (four times clearer than a 720p screen and 1.8 times more than a 1080p display). It’s a big Android 4.4 Kitkat-powered smartphone but without the heft you’d find on other devices.

Inside, there’s a 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor, 2GB or 3GB of RAM (depending on your region/carrier), 13-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization and the new Laser Auto Focus for lightning quick focusing, 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera, 16GB or 32GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD card to 128GB), removable 3,000mAh battery, wireless charging, and a 1-watt speaker with boost amp for deep bass and treble.

LG says the G3 is “Style Simplified.” The G3 drops the fingerprint-attracting gloss of its predecessor and replaces its with a metallic (plastic) one. The entire interface has been flattened down and color is better used to distinguish between apps.
