One thing you can’t ever have enough is socks. On a recent trip to Charleston, South Carolina, I happened upon a boutique shop tucked away in Charleston called “Sneaker”. While the shop had a collection of sweet kicks from limited edition Jack Purcells to to Pumas, we walked away with a pair of STANCE.
As we’ve said before, a pair of killer socks is a conversation starter at a house party (especially an Asian one where you have to take your shoes off). Socks start at $10 a pair for liner socks and run up to $14 for over the calf (OTC) socks. They come in a variety of funky colors and patterns, so you really have no excuse for not adding a touch of quirkiness to you daily look.
I ended up with a pair of Clovis Red Casual 200 needle construction socks with tribal print patterns. The socks have a reinforced toe and heel, seamless toe closure and an elastic arch support and Y gore seam. The stitched STANCE logo is also a slick touch to the ankle.
I’ve already ordered a few as gifts, but I’m tempted to pick up some more for myself. My only problem is I can’t decide which patterned socks I want.
Price: $10+
