LG G Pad 10.1

LG’s not conceding the tablet battle to Apple and Samsung just yet. The Korean electronics giant announced the global launch for its G Pad 10.1 tablet, an 8.9mm thick slate with a 10.1-inch (1280 x 800 resolution) IPS display, 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 16GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD card slot), 1GB of RAM, 5-megapixel rear/1.3-megapixel front camera, 8,000mAh battery and Android 4.4.2 KitKat.

As with its simplified G3 smartphone, the G Pad 10.1 flattens down the UI and comes with a host of unique features such as Touch & Shoot, Gesture Shot for Selfies, Smart Keyboard and Dual Window. The G Pad 10.1 also includes a feature called QPair 2.0 which lets you respond to notifications and calls pair from a smartphone on the tablet.

Pricing is TBA for each market, but LG says the G Pad 10.1 will arrive later this month. Based on its specs, we’re going to bet that the G Pad 10.1 will be really affordable.
