Pentax QS-1

My recommendation for a small and powerful camera is the excellent Sony RX100 Mark III. It’s the best point-and-shoot ever created and my favorite as of late. If you want the world’s most compact interchangeable lens system camera, then the new Pentax QS-1 is what you’re looking for.

Like its Q7 predecessor, the Q-S1 is tiny and comes in 40 color combinations. Yes — 40. Fashionable hues aside, the Q-S1 has a 12.4-megapixel back-illuminated CMOS 1/1.7 inch sensor, up to ISO 12800, 5 frames per second continuous shooting, one-second startup time, and a Bokeh Control function to get those creamy blurry backgrounds.

On the back is a 3-inch LCD screen. The Q-S1 also records 1080p HD video in H.264 format at 30 frames per second, comes with a variety of scene modes and a dust-removal system. A pop-up flash is also included in the camera.
