The  now runs Windows Phone 8.1. The Taiwanese-based smartphone company has announced its flagship One (M8) will run Microsoft’s mobile operating system. The design and hardware is identical to its Android counterpart.

The HTC One (M8) for Windows has the same 5-inch (1920 x 1080 resolution) display, a 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, 32GB of internal storage (expandable up to 128GB via microSD card slot), 2GB of RAM, 4-megapixel UltraPixel rear camera (1080p HD video recording), 5-megapixel front-facing camera and NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, BoomSound front-facing stereo speakers, and a 2600 mAh battery.

There is one caveat: the HTC One (M8) for Windows is exclusively on Verizon.
