Dapper Guide does the #IceBucketChallenge for ALS

Hey everyone. Team Dapper Guide got nominated by good friends of ours to do our part in helping spread awareness for the ALS (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) aka Lou Gehrig’s Disease. For those who don’t know, it’s a progressive neurodegenerative disease that basically screws up the nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord causing a person to have deteriorated motor skills, and possibly even permanent paralysis. It’s really terrible.

After getting nominated, we just knew we had to do our part to help spread awareness and raise money for the ALSA.org. Bruce and I both made our donations last week and did the #IceBucketChallenge.

Without wasting any more time, here are our two videos posted to our YouTube channel Dapper Guide TV:

Note: The videos are both monetized. All money made from the ads will be donated to the ALSA accordingly. (We strongly believe that’s the right thing to do.)

We encourage everyone who is capable of doing so to donate and take the #IceBucketChallenge. It may sound clichéd to say this, but every person can help make a difference. The ALSA has already $70.2 million thanks to everyone’s generosity (and the help by famous dapper gents like Bill Gates and Sir Patrick Stewart). Comparatively, the ALSA only received $2.5 million in the same period last year. So yes, even a one dollar donation goes a long way.
