Whenever we buy things, we always look for the best price. We scour every resource to make sure we’re getting exactly what we want, and at the right price. Buying watches is a tricky situation since you’re dealing with many variables. One easy way to buy a watch is to let someone else do the searching. Touch of Modern and Gilt always have sales for watches and there tends to be a mix bag of high-end to modern affordable watches. Within the past few days, both sites have some amazing sales.
Gilt’s watch sale is for Omega and Tag Heuer watches and ends on Tuesday, March 24th. Within the sale you’ll find some of Omega and Tag’s greatest hits. From Omega, we couldn’t have asked for a better combination of watches under $10,000. There are multiple Speedmasters and Seamasters. A brand spanking new Speedmaster Moonwatch runs only $3,999. From Tag, you can pick up a Carrera, Link, Aquaracer or Formula 1. Tag watches start at under $1,000.
Touch of Modern’s sale is for vintage watches and ends on Friday, March 27th. The sale is quickly selling out and the inventory on this sale is much less than Gilt’s. There isn’t a concentration of any specific style or brand, but it’s important to keep in mind that these are pre-owned and to check out the pictures carefully. The Cartier Automatic Roadster and Tudor Ranger look great and are affordable.

We’re always skeptical when buying watches online, however buying from reputable retailers like Gilt and Touch of Modern put us at ease.
