Seven years in and Sony’s PlayStation 3 is as robust as ever. With over 790 games available for purchase or download, the PS3 momentum shows now signs of slowdown ahead of the PlayStation 4 launch on November 15.
Newly released in North America is the 12GB PS3 model. This is the third-gen PS3, which is significantly smaller in size. It trades the slot-loading Blu-ray drive of its two predecessors for an old-school sliding top and pop format. You still get two USB ports, HDMI and a DualShock 3 controller — only it now only costs $200.
If you think the PS3 is dead, think again. We just need to say one game: Grand Theft Auto IV. ‘Nuff said.
