Google Nexus 7

Like Nexus 5, the Nexus 7 tablet is one of the most affordable Google-backed devices ever created. It’s no iPad mini, but it’s more than capable for only $229. Compared to last year’s model, the new Nexus 7 is slimmer and lighter thanks to a reduction in bezels. The 7-inch is also better than ever before with 1080p resolution at 323 pixels per inch.

Dual-stereo speakers and charged up 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage should make this tablet run games and movies like a champ. Instagrammers will appreciate the 5-meapixel rear camera (remember, there was no camera on the original Nexus 7) and 1.2-megapixel front camera.

The battery lasts up to nine hours and the entire tablet has built-in wireless charging.

If you live in Google’s services, it doesn’t get better than a Nexus 7. The fact that Android 4.4 KitKat is rolling out to the device is also great as well.
