Artist: James Gulliver Hancock


Each year Arts for Transit works with an artist to design transit-related art for display within the subway cars and station to bolster the commuting environment. We’ve seen some great artists like Sophie Blackall and Marcos Chin, and now James Gulliver Hancock. Hancock illustrated two posters for Arts for Transit. One explores the jumbled sense of scale New York City creates (Above) and the other one documents the stuff people carry on a subway (Below).
