Frequent Flyer: How to pack your suit jacket or blazer the right way

Contrary to common knowledge, using a garment bag isn’t the only way to pack a suit. Would you believe us if we told you that you can actually fold or roll up your suit jacket or blazer and pack it into your suitcase without getting it all wrinkled up?

Today’s Frequent Flyer wisdom comes from Real Men Real Style. The website outlines three ways to fold a suit for traveling: the “Tucked-Shoulder Fold”, “Shirt-Style Fold”, and “Jacket Roll”.

I’ve been using the Tucked-Shoulder Fold method for years with great success, but will have to give the other two methods a try next time.

RMRS does a wonderful job of breaking down exactly how to fold a jacket with each method, as well as the advantages and disadvantages. It’s an educational read — one that could change the way you pack forever. Don’t be intimidated at the diagrams. They look complex, but with a little practice, you’ll be packing your suit jacket like a pro in no time.
