Normal 3D printed Custom Earbuds

Everyone’s ears are different. That’s why there a million different sizes and styles of headphones and earbuds out there. So how does one get the perfect fitting earbuds without trial and error? The answer is 3D printing.

3D printing has the potential to make owning your very own custom earbuds not only a reality, but actually affordable. Earlier this month, Normal landed on the scene with its custom 3D printed premium earbuds. As you can probably figure out by now, each pair of earbuds is designed (then printed out) to fit your specific ears. No two will ever be the same.

Also revolutionary is the way the Normal earbuds are ordered: via the company’s free iOS and Android app. How? The company says it uses pictures you take of your ears and submit within the app, which it then uses to create your special earbuds.

Each pair costs $199 and comes with a personal carrying case. Delivery times are speedy, too: 48 hours. You can pre-order a pair right now for early August delivery. Or if you’re located in New York City, you can make a trip to the soon-to-be open Chelsea store next month to see the assembly and 3D printing process.
