Custom game consoles are snazzy. While I’m more of a minimalist, preferring white, silver and black, I can understand wanting something special. Ask any core gamer and they’ll tell you that they’re all about that limited edition stuff. (Kinda like how sneaker heads are about their kicks.)
As far as the Xbox One goes, it’s on the ugly side. No, seriously, it looks like a Betamax player or VCR. They’re not the prettiest, but they are lims. At San Diego Comic-Con, Microsoft is giving away 20 custom Xbox One consoles based on games from Halo to Sunset Overdrive to Titanfall.
To be in the running to win, all you have to do is follow the directions outlined by Nerdist:
“In order to win, simply head over the Xbox Gaming Lounge (located at the Manchester Grand Hyatt Seaport Ballroom) and start ogling the custom Xbox One consoles. Once you’ve picked your jaw up off of the floor, snap a photograph of your favorite one, add a sweet filter if that’s your thing, then tweet it for your chance to take home the ultimate con exclusive: a custom Xbox One. Make sure that you @Xbox, tweet the photo of your favorite console in the Xbox Gaming Lounge, and include the hashtags #XboxOne and #XboxSweeps or your entry will be like so many tears in the rain: lost.”
If you can’t make it to SDCC, you can just drool over them below in digital form. Our favorite is the yellow Forza Horizon 2 Xbox One — simple and clean yellow with just the game’s logo.
