20 years ago this month, a small company, formerly known as “Cadabra” renamed to “Amazon”, sold its first book, Douglas Hofstadter’s Fluid Concepts and Creative Analogies: Computer Models of the Fundamental Mechanisms of Thought. This marked a huge turning point in how we buy, sell, consume, price out products, and nearly everything in our lives. It was the birth of Amazon! AMAZON!
Amazon is celebrating its 20th birthday with the shopping event, Prime Day that will have more deals than Black Friday, exclusively for Prime members. You can follow the news for this sale (Photo contest too) on their Facebook page.
As a long time Amazon shopper, this is great news as their sales are always solid. I’ve personally never found a great Lightning deal, but have heard some insane deals from friends. Shopping used to be through Sunday ads in the paper or your went to the nearest store, now with a phone along with your Prime membership and you’ve snagged your place at the July 15th event. We’re expecting some outstanding deals, just be sure to keep a close eye on them when they’re released. Good luck!
